Thank you very much for your kind words. I think understanding the effort and thought that goes into writing a single haiku can really help with appreciating it.

I used to read the br’er fox stories as a kid. I don’t really like Disney full-stop.

Great stuff! You had my LMAO with “…Everything you claimed in your last job interview, in fact.” Loved it! Gonna get me fired. I’m not a big haiku fan but you might have turned me around a little with this one. I love fox-lore and I’m a big fan of br’er fox (not so much the disney version though) and Aesop. I’m impressed. Thanks for the history.

I love foxes. I’ve never seen one in Japan, just back in Britain though. Since I lived in London, they used to go through the rubbish bins sometimes. Not exactly exotic though.

Thank you very much. That’s quite a compliment. I guess either people don’t have a favourite haiku or I need to figure out how to advertise. :)

Yay foxes!! I have a love affair with foxes– ever since I was sitting on a hill looking up at the stars and a pair of grey foxes came up to me to sniff at my feet.

Honestly, more people need to be coming to your blog. You write beautifully with a great sense of humour.
