      Hello David.

April is a good time to visit. You should go to some parks to see cherry blossom.
There are lots of bookstores in Tokyo, but my favourite big bookstore is Junkudou in Ikebukuro. Map (in Japanese, sorry) here.

I don’t know much about capsule hotels, sorry.

When I visited Gunkanjima, I went to the docks and bought a ticket. You can book in advance here.

      Hope that helps.

I don’t write too much on lifestyle, but I do write lots about Japanese toys and movies, so I hope you’ll stick around for that!

I’ve never visited Tokushima-ken, but it seems like a great place.

    Hello William,

I stumbled across your blog through the breadcrumb trail that is the internet. I noticed that we seem to have attended a lot of the same events (i.e. Tokyo Toy Show, Anime Fest, Design Festa). I was wondering if you know of any other upcoming pop culture type events in Tokyo. Also, I’ve heard of a place only referred to as “Ninja Camp”. Are you familiar with this place?

    Thanks so much,

    Meghan
